It is therefore not the Court's task to substitute itself for the domestic authorities in the exercise of their responsibilities as regards parental authority, but rather to review under the Convention the decisions taken by those authorities in the exercise of their power of appreciation (see, among other authorities, Olsson v. Sweden judgment of 24 March 1988, Series A no. 130 p. 32, § 68).
