ALLEN c. ROYAUME-UNI
Auszug aus EGMR, 10.03.2015 - 4374/05
Its general aim, in this second aspect, is to protect individuals who have been acquitted of a criminal charge, or in respect of whom criminal proceedings have been discontinued, from being treated by public officials and authorities as though they are in fact guilty of the offence charged (see Allen v. the United Kingdom [GC], no. 25424/09, § 94, ECHR 2013). - EGMR, 20.06.2006 - 17209/02
ZARB ADAMI c. MALTE
Auszug aus EGMR, 10.03.2015 - 4374/05
The Court recalls that Article 14 does not prohibit distinctions in treatment which are founded on an objective assessment of essentially different factual circumstances (see Zarb Adami v. Malta, no. 17209/02, § 73, ECHR 2006-VIII).

PAKETOVA AND OTHERS v. BULGARIA
Finally, as regards the possibility for the applicants to have brought anti-discrimination proceedings, in view of the characteristics of the remedy under the PADA, the Court has previously held that such a mechanism could, in principle, represent an effective remedy in cases where individuals complain of having suffered discriminatory treatment (see, among others, Halil Adem Hasan v. Bulgaria, no. 4374/05, § 71, 10 March 2015).
