FRYDLENDER c. FRANCE
Auszug aus EGMR, 15.07.2010 - 11208/03
The Court reiterates that the reasonableness of the length of proceedings must be assessed in the light of the circumstances of the case and with reference to the following criteria: the complexity of the case, the conduct of the applicant and the relevant authorities and what was at stake for the applicant in the dispute (see, among many other authorities, Frydlender v. France [GC], no. 30979/96, § 43, ECHR 2000-VII). - EGMR, 08.12.1983 - 7984/77
PRETTO ET AUTRES c. ITALIE
Auszug aus EGMR, 15.07.2010 - 11208/03
The Court reiterates that a delay at some stage may be acceptable if the overall duration of the proceedings cannot be deemed excessive (see, for example, Pretto and Others v. Italy, 8 December 1983, § 37, Series A no. 71).

GERZHIK v. UKRAINE
Accordingly, the Court considers that the proceedings were completed on 2 July 2007 with the final rejection, by the Kharkiv Regional Court, of the aforementioned request of the applicant, but not on 26 June 2003 as purported by the Government (see and compare with Balaguta v. Ukraine (dec.), no. 18291/04, 4 November 2008, and Kolomoyets v. Ukraine, no. 11208/03, §§ 19, 20 and 44, 15 July 2010). - EGMR, 24.11.2011 - 17842/08
PALAMARCHUK v. UKRAINE
The period to be taken into consideration began on 8 May 1998 and ended on 6 August 2007 with the final decision given by the Supreme Court, and not on 20 November 2002 as suggested by the Government (see, for instance, Kolomoyets v. Ukraine, no. 11208/03, § 44, 15 July 2010).
