MARCKX v. BELGIUM
Auszug aus EGMR, 22.02.1994 - 16213/90
Having regard to the concept of family which prevails in the Convention system (see, among other authorities and mutatis mutandis, the Marckx v. Belgium judgment of 13 June 1979, Series A no. 31, pp. 14-15, para. 31, and the Beldjoudi v. France judgment of 26 March 1992, Series A no. 234-A, p. 28, para. 76), it considers that Mrs Burghartz may claim to be a victim of the impugned decisions, at least indirectly. - EGMR, 24.06.1993 - 14518/89
SCHULER-ZGRAGGEN c. SUISSE
Auszug aus EGMR, 22.02.1994 - 16213/90
The Court reiterates that the advancement of the equality of the sexes is today a major goal in the member States of the Council of Europe; this means that very weighty reasons would have to be put forward before a difference of treatment on the sole ground of sex could be regarded as compatible with the Convention (see, as the most recent authority, the Schuler-Zgraggen v. Switzerland judgment of 24 June 1993, Series A no. 263, pp. 21-22, para. 67). - EGMR, 26.03.1992 - 12083/86

NIEMIETZ v. GERMANY
Auszug aus EGMR, 22.02.1994 - 16213/90
The fact that society and the State have an interest in regulating the use of names does not exclude this, since these public-law aspects are compatible with private life conceived of as including, to a certain degree, the right to establish and develop relationships with other human beings, in professional or business contexts as in others (see, mutatis mutandis, the Niemietz v. Germany judgment of 16 December 1992, Series A no. 251-B, p. 33, para. 29).

Switzerland judgment of 22 February 1994, Series A no. 280-B, § 24; the Dudgeon v. the United Kingdom judgment of 22 October 1991, Series A no. 45, § 41, and the Laskey, Jaggard and Brown v. the United Kingdom judgment of 19 February 1997, Reports 1997-1, § 36). - EGMR, 20.01.2011 - 31322/07
HAAS c. SUISSE
Des éléments tels que, par exemple, le nom, l'identification sexuelle, l'orientation sexuelle et la vie sexuelle relèvent de la sphère personnelle protégée par l'article 8 de la Convention (voir, par exemple, B. c. France, 25 mars 1992, § 63, série A no 232-C, Burghartz c. Suisse, 22 février 1994, § 24, série A no 280-B, Dudgeon c. In that vein the Grand Chamber has emphasised more particularly "that the advancement of the equality of the sexes is today a major goal in the member States of the Council of Europe and that very weighty reasons would have to be put forward before such a difference in treatment could be regarded as compatible with the Convention (see Burghartz v.
