  The Court is prepared to accept that the lack of a direct legal mechanism to enable the applicant to protect his right to respect for his private life can generally be explained by the "legitimate interest" in ensuring legal certainty and security of family relationships and by the need to protect the interests of children (see Rasmussen v.
