The principles set out in § 22 above admit of no other conclusion than that Article 5 § 5 of the Convention creates a direct right to compensation once the national courts or the Convention institutions have found that an applicant has been deprived of his or her liberty contrary to Article 5 §§ 1-4 of the Convention (see Storck v. Germany, no. 61603/00, § 122, ECHR 2005-V).
