Auszug aus EGMR, 29.01.2019 - 49651/16
The Court has held that the notion of personal autonomy is an important principle underlying the interpretation of the guarantees of Article 8 (see Pretty v. the United Kingdom, no. 2346/02, § 61, ECHR 2002-III, and Di Trizio v. Switzerland, no. 7186/09, § 63, 2 February 2016). - EGMR, 13.11.2019 - 39401/04
MGN LIMITED AGAINST THE UNITED KINGDOM
Auszug aus EGMR, 29.01.2019 - 49651/16
Reiterating the fact that the States enjoy a wide margin of appreciation when they are required to strike a balance between competing private and public interests or Convention rights (see, mutatis mutandis, S.H. and Others v. Austria [GC], no. 57813/00, § 94, ECHR 2011) the Court does not find any reason, let alone a cogent reason, to substitute its view for that expressed in the domestic decisions, as the applicant urged the Court to do (see, mutatis mutandis, MGN Limited v. the United Kingdom, no. 39401/04, § 155, 18 January 2011).

ARNAR HELGI LÁRUSSON v. ICELAND
The Court has hitherto had a few occasions to address issues relating to access to buildings and other public facilities and its implications for private life (see Botta v. Italy, 24 February 1998, Reports of Judgments and Decisions 1998-I; Zehnalová and Zehnal v. the Czech Republic (dec.), no. 38621/97, ECHR 2002-V; Glaisen v. Switzerland (dec.), no. 40447/13, 25 June 2019; and Neagu v. Romania (dec.), no. 49651/16, 29 January 2019). - EGMR, 25.06.2019 - 40477/13
GLAISEN c. SUISSE
La Cour a considéré que la notion d'autonomie personnelle reflète un principe important qui sous-tend l'interprétation des garanties de l'article 8 (Pretty c. Royaume-Uni, no 2346/02, § 61, CEDH 2002-III, Haas c. Suisse, no 31322/07, § 51, CEDH 2011, et Neagu c. Roumanie ((déc.), no 49651/16, 29 janvier 2019). - EGMR, 24.01.2023 - 4723/13
BERISHA c. SUISSE
Elle a jugé par exemple que cette notion pouvait recouvrir à certains égards l'identité physique et sociale d'un individu (Glor c. Suisse, no 13444/04, § 52, CEDH 2009, Mikulic c. Croatie, no 53176/99, § 53, CEDH 2002-I, et Otgon c. République de Moldova, no 22743/07, 25 octobre 2016), et elle a considéré que le principe de l'autonomie personnelle était en jeu dans l'interprétation des garanties énoncées à l'article 8 (Pretty c. Royaume-Uni, no 2346/02, § 61, CEDH 2002-III, Haas c. Suisse, no 31322/07, § 51, CEDH 2011, et Neagu c. Roumanie (déc.), no 49651/16, 29 janvier 2019).
