The Court reiterates that where an applicant dies during the examination of a case his heirs of next kin may in principle pursue the application on his behalf (see Centre for Legal Resources on behalf of Valentin Câmpeanu v. Furthermore, in several Russian cases concerning non-enforcement of court judgments in the applicant's favour, the Court recognised the right of the relatives of the deceased applicant to pursue the application (see, among many others, Shiryayeva v. Russia, no. 21417/04, § 8, 13 July 2006).
