The protection afforded by Article 10 of the Convention to journalists is subject to the proviso that they act in good faith in order to provide accurate and reliable information in accordance with the tenets of responsible journalism (see NIT S.R.L. v. the Republic of Moldova [GC], no. 28470/12, § 180, 5 April 2022 and Pentikäinen v. Finland [GC], no. 11882/10, § 90, ECHR 2015, with further references).
