In this respect, any limitation or restriction is considered to be compatible with Article 6, provided that it does not impair the very essence of the right concerned and pursues a legitimate aim while respecting the relationship of proportionality between the means employed and the aim sought to be achieved (see Ashingdane v. the United Kingdom, 28 May 1985, § 57, Series A no. 93, and Berger v.
