LABITA c. ITALIE
Auszug aus EGMR, 20.01.2004 - 34221/96
Where such grounds were "relevant" and "sufficient", the Court must also ascertain whether the competent national authorities displayed "special diligence" in the conduct of the proceedings (see Labita v. Italy [GC], no. 26772/95, p. 138, §§ 152-153, ECHR 2000-IV). - EGMR, 24.07.2001 - 44558/98
VALASINAS v. LITHUANIA
Auszug aus EGMR, 20.01.2004 - 34221/96
The Court considers that, in the particular circumstances of the present case, the applicant was in no way hindered in the exercise of his right of petition to the Court (see Valasinas v. Lithuania, no. 44558/98, § 136, ECHR 2001-VIII). - EGMR, 25.03.1992 - 13590/88
CAMPBELL v. THE UNITED KINGDOM
Auszug aus EGMR, 20.01.2004 - 34221/96
The opening of letters from the Court or addressed to it undoubtedly gives rise to the possibility that they will be read and may also conceivably, on occasions, create the risk of reprisals by the prison staff against the prisoner concerned (see, in respect of a complaint under Article 8 concerning correspondence with the Commission, Campbell v. the United Kingdom, judgment of 25 March 1992, Series A no. 233 p. 22, § 62). - EGMR, 26.01.1993 - 14379/88
W. c. SUISSE
Auszug aus EGMR, 20.01.2004 - 34221/96
Continued detention can be justified in a given case only if there are specific indications of a genuine requirement of public interest which, notwithstanding the presumption of innocence, outweighs the rule of respect for individual liberty (see, among other authorities, the W. v. Switzerland judgment of 26 January 1993, Series A no. 254-A, p. 15, § 30).

JECIUS v. LITHUANIA
- EGMR, 16.01.2007 - 7870/04
BAK v. POLAND
The reasonableness of the length of proceedings must be assessed in the light of the circumstances of the case and with regard to the criteria laid down in the Court's case-law, in particular the complexity of the case and the conduct of the applicant and of the relevant authorities which in this instance call for an overall assessment (see, among many other authorities, Pélissier and Sassi v. France [GC], no. 25444/94, § 67, ECHR 1999-II, and Szeloch v. Poland, no. 33079/96, § 101, 22 February 2001). - EGMR, 03.06.2014 - 45553/06
VOGT c. SUISSE
Bulgarie, 20 mars 1997, § 35, Recueil 1997-II ; Nikolaj Krempovskij c. Lituanie (déc.), no 37193/97, 20 avril 1999 ; Jecius c. Lituanie, no 34578/97, § 41, CEDH 2000-IX ; Pisarkiewicz c. Pologne, no 18967/02, § 31, 22 janvier 2008 ; Todev c. Bulgarie, no 31036/02, § 20, 22 mai 2008, et Gouloub Atanassov c. Bulgarie, no 73281/01, § 42, 6 novembre 2008).
- EGMR, 27.03.2012 - 18480/06
KURATOW c. POLOGNE
Les dispositions du droit interne sur la procédure relative à l'application de la détention préventive sont amplement citées notamment dans l'affaire Trzaska c. Pologne, no 25792/94, du 11 juillet 2000, au §§ 48 et 49. - EGMR, 04.03.2008 - 25413/04
HOLOWCZAK v.
- EGMR, 01.07.2008 - 44131/05
KOWALCZYK v. POLAND
In these circumstances, the Court is not persuaded that the instant case presented particular difficulties for the investigation authorities or for the courts to determine the facts and mount a case against the perpetrators, as would undoubtedly have been the case had the proceedings concerned organised crime (see Celejewski v. Poland, cited above, § 37, Kwiatek v. Poland, no. 20204/02, § 46, 6 February 2007 and Bak v. Poland, no. 7870/04, §§ 56-65, ECHR 2007-... (extracts)). - EGMR, 30.06.2015 - 1629/11
LORBIECKI v. POLAND
The Court has established in a number of cases, including those brought against Poland, its practice concerning complaints about the length of the proceedings by which a person seeks to challenge the lawfulness of his detention (see, for example, Baranowski v. Poland, no. 28358/95, ECHR 2000-III; Lewicki v. Poland, no. 28993/05, 6 October 2009; Pyrak v.Poland, no. 54476/00, 12 February 2008; Lorbiecki (dec), cited above). - EGMR, 09.03.2010 - 50178/08
LORBIECKI v. POLAND
The Court has established in a number of cases, including those brought against Poland, its practice concerning complaints about the length of the proceedings by which a persons seeks to challenge the lawfulness of his detention (see, for example, Baranowski v.
