SOARE ET AUTRES c. ROUMANIE
Cette liste revêt un caractère exhaustif et seule une interprétation étroite cadre avec le but de cette disposition: assurer que nul ne soit arbitrairement privé de sa liberté (Vasileva c. Danemark, no 52792/99, 25 septembre 2003, §§ 32-33). - EGMR, 07.05.2015 - 59135/09
EMIN HUSEYNOV v. AZERBAIJAN
In this connection, the Court observes that it is apparent from the eyewitness statements of R.A. and M.H. that the applicant identified himself to the police as a journalist and the chairman of the IRFS (see paragraph 12 above) and did not refuse to disclose his identity to the police (see, by contrast, Vasileva v. Denmark, no. 52792/99, §§ 36-38, 25 September 2003). - EGMR, 28.09.2006 - 5989/03
IVERSEN v. DENMARK
In these circumstances, and having regard to the nature of the present case, the Court is satisfied that the applicant has been reimbursed sufficiently under domestic law, and it sees no reason to award her further compensation for costs and expenses (see, among others, Vasileva v. Denmark, no. 52792/99, § 50, 25 September 2003). - EGMR, 22.01.2009 - 247/07
CHRISTENSEN v.
- EGMR, 11.06.2013 - 19279/03
BANNIKOV v. LATVIA
Were that to happen, cases like those of sexagenarian Mrs Sofiika Vasileva, who was illegally detained overnight in a police cell for failing to reveal her identity to a bus ticket inspector after she was caught riding the bus without a valid ticket (Vasileva v. Denmark, no. 52792/99, 25 September 2003), would probably be declared de minimis. - EGMR, 11.12.2008 - 36244/06

The Court recalls that the purpose of Article 35 § 1, which sets out the rule on exhaustion of domestic remedies, is to afford the Contracting States the opportunity of preventing or putting right the violations alleged against them before those allegations are submitted to the Court see, inter alia, Selmouni v. France [GC], no. 25803/94, § 74, ECHR 1999-V. The rule in Article 35 § 1 is based on the assumption, reflected in Article 13 with which it has a close affinity, that there is an effective domestic remedy available in respect of the alleged breach of an individual's Convention rights. - EGMR, 25.03.1999 - 25444/94
Auszug aus EGMR, 30.04.2002 - 52792/99
From a general point of view the reasonableness of the length of the proceedings must be assessed with reference to the complexity of the case, the conduct of the applicant and that of the authorities before which the case was brought (cf. Pélissier and Sassi v. France [GC], no. 25444/94, ECHR 1999-II, § 67).
