KEEGAN v. IRELAND
Auszug aus EGMR, 29.06.1999 - 27110/95
The Court recalls that the notion of "family life" in Article 8 is not confined solely to marriage-based relationships and may encompass other de facto "family" ties where the parties are living together outside marriage (see the Keegan v. Ireland judgment of 26 May 1994, Series A no. 290, pp. 17-18, § 44 and the Kroon and Others v. the Netherlands judgment of 20 September 1994, Series A no. 297-C, pp. 55-56, § 30). - EGMR, 28.11.1984 - 8777/79
RASMUSSEN v. DENMARK
Auszug aus EGMR, 29.06.1999 - 27110/95
In this regard, the Court recalls that in the Rasmussen case (see the Rasmussen v. Denmark judgment of 28 November 1984, Series A no. 87, p. 13, § 33) the Court found that the determination of the applicant's legal relations with his putative daughter undoubtedly concerned his private life. - EGMR, 28.09.1995 - 15346/89
MASSON AND VAN ZON v. THE NETHERLANDS
Auszug aus EGMR, 29.06.1999 - 27110/95
The outcome of the proceedings must be directly decisive for the right in question, mere tenuous connections or remote consequences not being sufficient to bring Article 6 § 1 into play (see, inter alia, the Masson and Van Zon v. the Netherlands judgment of 28 September 1995, Series A no. 327, pp. 19-20, § 48-52 and the Werner v. Austria judgment of 24 November 1997, Reports of Judgments and Decisions 1997-VII, p. 2507, § 34). - EGMR, 27.10.1994 - 18535/91
KROON AND OTHERS v. THE NETHERLANDS
Auszug aus EGMR, 29.06.1999 - 27110/95
The Court recalls that the notion of "family life" in Article 8 is not confined solely to marriage-based relationships and may encompass other de facto "family" ties where the parties are living together outside marriage (see the Keegan v. Ireland judgment of 26 May 1994, Series A no. 290, pp. 17-18, § 44 and the Kroon and Others v. the Netherlands judgment of 20 September 1994, Series A no. 297-C, pp. 55-56, § 30).

Finnland (Entsch.), Individualbeschwerde Nr. 27110/95, EGMR 1999 VI). - EGMR, 11.10.2011 - 53124/09
GENOVESE v. MALTA
Relevant factors in this regard include the nature of the relationship between the natural parents and the demonstrable interest in and commitment by the natural father to the child both before and after the birth (see Nylund v. Finland (dec.), no. 27110/95, ECHR 1999-VI). - EGMR, 15.03.2012 - 25951/07
Royaume-Uni (déc.), no 45851/99, 27 avril 2000 ; voir aussi Nylund c. Finlande (déc.), no 27110/95, CEDH 1999-VI, Lindsay c. Royaume-Uni (déc.), no 11089/84, 11 novembre 1986, et Serife YiÄŸit c. Turquie [GC], no 3976/05, 2 novembre 2010). - EGMR, 02.11.2010 - 3976/05
SERIFE YIGIT c. TURQUIE
Finlande (déc.), no 27110/95, CEDH 1999-VI, et Lindsay c. Royaume-Uni (déc.) no 11089/84, 11 novembre 1986). - EGMR, 20.03.2018 - 37685/10
RADOMILJA AND OTHERS v. CROATIA
Accordingly, the Court has to satisfy itself that it has jurisdiction in any case brought before it, and is therefore obliged to examine the question of its jurisdiction of its own motion (see Blecic v. Croatia [GC], no. 59532/00, § 67, ECHR 2006-III; and Nylund v. Finland (dec.), no. 27110/95, 29 June 1999).". - EGMR, 18.05.2006 - 55339/00
RÓZANSKI v. POLAND
Hence, it is relevant for the assessment of the case that the applicant has shown, in the Court's opinion, demonstrable interest in and commitment to the child both before and after the birth (see no. 22920/93, dec. 6.4.1994, D.R.77-A, p. 115; Nylund v. Finland (dec.), no. 27110/95, ECHR 1999-VI).However, in Nylund v. Finland (dec.), no. 27110/95, ECHR 1999-VI, and later in Yousef v. the Netherlands, no. 33711/96, ECHR 2002-VIII, the Court took a different approach and found that some limitations on paternity claims might be compatible with the Convention.

PINI AND OTHERS v. ROMANIA
However, this does not mean, in the Court's opinion, that all intended family life falls entirely outside the ambit of Article 8. In this connection, the Court has previously held that Article 8 may also extend to the potential relationship between a child born out of wedlock and his or her natural father (see Nylund v. Finland (dec.), no. 27110/95, ECHR 1999-VI), or apply to the relationship that arises from a lawful and genuine marriage, even if family life has not yet been fully established (see Abdulaziz, Cabales and Balkandali, cited above, p. 32, § 62). - EGMR, 09.10.2014 - 3004/10
